Being Overweight Increases Cancer Risk, Two New Studies Show

The relationship of weight and cancer.

Wait. Does your weight affect your risk of cancer?

Almost half of Americans (48%) still don’t realize that obesity or being overweight increases your risk of cancer, according to a survey by the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR). To give you some perspective, this number is eight times the 6% who have never heard of reality television personality Kim Kardashian, based on a poll by the Rasmussen Reports. Not knowing one of these could potentially hurt or even kill you.
