Holding on to Hope for a Psoriasis Cure

Psoriasis is a chronic condition that can be managed, but not cured.

Hope is a powerful force against the despair that comes with unremitting challenges. One of those challenges in my life is incurable severe psoriasis. Not a day goes by that I’m not reminded how much it affects my life. Without a hope that sees beyond the daily grind of chronic illness, I could easily give up.

What I put my hope in is just as important as hoping itself. I’m no different from anyone else in wanting to avoid the disappointment of unmet expectations. Those who promise cures to people desperate for relief can make a fortune from false promises. I want to believe there’s a quick fix out there — even though I know that if it existed, we’d all be cured.

I believe when a true psoriasis cure arrives, everyone will recognize it. I imagine those of us with psoriasis will look into it with great anticipation. I might even be the first in line to try it.
