This creamy, low-carb smoothie from Functional Medicine Director Mark Hyman, MD, is a great way to start your day and get it into fat-burning mode. An additional benefit is that ginger is great for digestion.
1 ½ cups almond or cashew milk
2 tablespoons raw almond butter
2 teaspoons grated ginger
¼ teaspoon grated nutmeg
1 handful baby spinach or greens of choice
- Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy.
